Yesterday, a video of "Beijing street sweeper speaking fluent English" shocked many netizens. In the video, a sanitation uncle with dark skin and wrinkles on his face communicates with the questioner in fluent English. From time to time he uses advanced words such as "civilization" and says that he has read Shakespeare's works such as "Hamlet", "Romeo and Juliet" and "Macbeth".

 

This uncle claimed to be a middle school English teacher in Zaozhuang, Shandong Province. After coming to Beijing to work as a sanitation worker in September, he often gave directions in English and planned to stay in Beijing to open an English tutoring class to teach more people to speak English.
