Mainland China has 47 nuclear power units in operation, ranking third in the world

News from CCTV: The China Nuclear Society announced yesterday (21st) that as of the end of June 2019, there were 47 nuclear power units in operation in mainland China with an installed capacity of 48.73 million kilowatts, ranking third in the world. According to reports, during the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, approximately 19 million kilowatts of nuclear power were put into operation nationwide and more than 7.6 million kilowatts were started. The installed capacity is expected to reach 51.03 million kilowatts in 2020.
